Welcome: Learn to Ski and Snowboard

Hey There: We're glad that you want to learn how to ski or snowboard and the best way todo that is by taking lesson from trained instructors. You wouldn't ask a friend or family member to give you a tattoo, right? So why would you expect them to teach you how to ski or snowboard? Or, even try and teach yourself?

Ski and snowboard areas offer lesson programs all winter and January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Monthwhen many venues make their best offers for beginners. Retail partners also have special deals for beginners and today’s equipment has never been easier to use.

The learntoskiandsnowboard.org web site provides useful information for beginners and even current participants who want to improve. See web sites of our partners for additional information. Go to Find Resortsand Find Gear.

BRING A FRIEND

No one wants to ski or snowboard alone. Current participants can help newcomers sign up for lessons from a pro. Newcomers can bring along friends or family members to join them in a lesson program.

Many of our partners have special Bring a Friend programs. The Bring a Friend Challenge rewards those who help newcomers sign up for beginner lessons. Anyone can become an “Ambassador of Snow Sports” through the Bring a Friend Challenge.
