Wachusett Mountain won the 2013-14 National Ski Areas Association Marketing Award for the best Learn to Ski and Snowboard/Bring a Friend program and they won the NSAA Conversion Cup, sponsored by Head Wintersports, in 2016. The Conversion Cup rewards resorts that did a good job of creating programs that keep new skiers and snowboarders coming back. Wachusett also had the most participants in their World's Largest Lesson program for a Guinness record than any resort in the U.S. The turnout was 168 people. All events took place simultaneously throughout the U.S.
