January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month!

    Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month in January exposed nearly 100,000 children and adults to lessons from professional ski and snowboard instors. BIG thanks to those who participated. If you took lessons during January - continue to improve your skills in March and Bring a Friend along for lessons from a professional instructor. Check out our short "How to" videos.

More than seventy-five percent of those who answered the LSSM survey question "How Were You Introduced to Skiing or Snowboarding?" said "friend" or  "family".  Introducing is great but learn from a pro. Friends don't teach friends - and neither do spouses.

Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month is a strong supporter of the First Lady's Let's Move initiative to encourage activity among youths. Cataloochee Resort in North Carolina and Colorado Ski Country, USA recently were cited for their LSSM youth programs on the Let's Move blog.
