Miller has a history of supporting activity programs. Miller and his family started The Turtle Ridge Foundation (www.turtleridgefoundation.org), a non profit organization dedicated to supporting adaptive and youth sports programs and athletic opportunities throughout the United States. This is an active and exciting way for Bode to engage with his fans and supporters and motivate communities to participate in healthy life-style choices that they might not otherwise be exposed to. “The challenge in life for most people is making the conscious decision to do good for others or to do nothing. It’s the choice that defines the individual,” says Miller. “I’m pleased to be working with Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month to encourage children and adults to get involved with skiing and snowboarding,” he added. “With childhood obesity at an all-time high, this program makes it easy for anyone to take some lessons and get some exercise out on the snow.” See Historyof HEAD Skis and its founder Howard Head. |
