Ski and snowboard areas that are on National Forest Service land are located by state in the·Where to Go section of this Web site. There also is a list under National Forest System in the same section. We also wish to acknowledge the U.S. Forest Service for its support of Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month. There FS_LOGOare 122 ski and snowboard areas on Forest Service land.

We are working together to create public awareness for snow sports and winter activity outdoors.

 

 

The President's Council on FItness, Sports and Nutrition also is a Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month (LSSM) partner. LSSM supports the FIrst Lady's initiative to get youths more active via Let's Move and Let's Move Outside.

Children and adults can take the President's Challenge and earn a Presidential Active Lifestyle Awards (PALA) with snow sports. Alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing all are listed activities. Take the Challenge this winter. ·
