Ski and Snowboard Areas Are Located on Public Land
Did you know that there are 122 ski areas on National Forest System lands across the United States? In fact, that's 60 percent of the capacity of all Alpine skiing in the country. Skiing is the most popular recreational activity on Forest Service land after hiking.
Besides Alpine skiing and snowboarding, many National Forest System locations offer cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
